This privacy policy describes how and when Soul Food collects, uses, and shares information when you purchase an item from, contact, or otherwise use the charity's services through this website. 

 

This Privacy Policy does not apply to the practices of third parties that Soul Food does not own or control, including Wix and any other third parties.

How personal data is collected

 

Orders

As part of the buying and selling process, when you purchase any item from the Soul Food website, personal data such as your name, address & email is given. This enables Soul Food to send your item & provides a contact to update you about your order. 

 

Soul Food Updates Opt-in

As part of the Soul Food updates opt-in, your email address and name will be collected and used to notify you of news, events, blog posts and store products. Soul Food uses Wix to store your data and details of their privacy policy can be found here.

 

The usage data Wix collect may include your IP address, geographical location, browser type and version, operating system, referral source, length of visit, page views and website navigation paths, as well as information about the timing, frequency and pattern of your service use.

How consent is defined 

 

When an individual purchases something from the Soul Food shop, they provide their personal information (such as name, address and email address in order to receive their item). By checking the box agreeing to this privacy policy, this constitutes as an agreement for Soul Food to process and use this data for the purpose intended.

 

When an individual subscribes to the Soul Food updates opt-in using the forms provided on this website, they enter their name and email address. This data is collected and stored by Wix. By checking the box agreeing to this privacy policy, this constitutes as consent for Soul Food to use this data for the purpose intended.

 

Consent can be withdrawn at any time, by unsubscribing to Soul Food updates or by emailing Soul Food directly at hello@soulfoodedinburgh.org.

 

Disclosure

 

Soul Food may disclose your personal data where such disclosure is necessary for compliance with a legal obligation to which we are subject. 

 

Financial transactions relating to the Soul Food website are handled by our payment service provider, Wix [link to Wix Privacy Policy]. Soul Food does not have access to bank details or credit card details.

 

Personal data that Soul Food processes for any purpose or purposes shall not be kept for longer than is necessary for that purpose or those purposes. You can request for this data to be deleted at any time, by contacting Soul Food at hello@soulfoodedinburgh.org.
