Today we gather the week’s blessings, and declare them together:
May you, when all is not as you had hoped or dreamed, hear the surprising voice of God.
May you, when you stand in the ashes of what could have been, find God standing with you, speaking your name.
May you know how close Jesus is to you, as you gaze together upon all that is broken and ruined; may you know he weeps with you, and he blesses your reality with his loving kindness.
And so may you, in the storms, heartaches and realities of your life, know that you are never alone.
May an unexplainable peace surround you entirely,
hold you completely.
And may you sense so deeply
that all is well
with your soul.
