Today we gather the week’s blessings, and declare them together:
May your ordinary life be freshly illuminated for you, seen in the kind glow of everyday blessings.
May you find Emmanuel in your ordinary life, even when life become extraordinary in unwelcome ways for a season; may you find blessing in the dark and know you are not alone there.
May every breath be a deep affirmation that you are loved and known, and God’s blessing is yours no matter what the day brings forth.
May you know your body as sacred, as Jesus’ body is sacred; may you see all things in God, and God in all things.
And may we all know that, no matter how small our lives feel, God’s blessing is for us; like Mary may our hearts finally sing with gladness during this season of Advent.
